good day, deviantart. here is the current report from atelier propraetoria.

since last i had posted, i attended the fan expo in toronto, had a major personal meltdown, fell even more in love with my muse, moved into new lodgings (studio space still under construction), acquired a new pet and embarked upon a new business venture. the last item is, perhaps, better shown under the auspice of my more light-hearted alter ego.

i have also posted a new piece of art, as some have no doubt noticed by now.

the immediate future of the propraetorian works will be divided between the two new series, the edictum and seneschal series. the latter is an illustration of various personifications of philosophical ideas in both a geometric and anthropomorphic form. the former, which i regard as being the more important one, will be the codex of my personal design for the future of humanity. as with my earlier works, it will have its share of alchemical imagery and symbolism. true to form for alchemy, however, it will be pared down in anything which will detract from its focus.

much has changed in my internal landscape. i have done away with much of my faith and my religious leanings in favour of a more pure philosophy. art is now my sole religion and my only goddesses are my two muses: Lady Gruesome and the Gorgon.
